Introduction

We asked, what does it mean to create or have a witnessing Christian faculty community at secular universities around the world?

To begin with we suggest that merely establishing the existence of a Christian faculty community at secular campuses is itself a witness. See this link to see some ways Christian faculty communities at secular campuses have already begun to do that by creating a website for themselves. By the way, our organization can help you do that.

We have come to believe that a witnessing Christian faculty fellowship/community can go beyond website identification by doing good sociological research to better understand the secular academic community you live and work in (audience analysis, if  you will), and by both learning from other’s successes (best practices) and creating your own practices to aim at knowing Christ and making Him known. You will find resources on this site for engage in winsome peer-to-peer dialogue about the great things of the gospel, for doing what we call indirect dialogue with students (we do not advocate for “proclaiming" the gospel in classroom situations), resources for becoming a “lighthouse” professor where students can find an oasis on the secular desert they find on campus, and resources on ways corporately your fellowship can have an indirect “witnessing” effect to the larger communities we find on campus.

So we invite you to explore on in this section!
